Whether or not "eliminated" is certainly controversial, but technological progress has been recently discovered that now many plasmas usually a longer life than CRT monitors have, and do not suffer from the problems of image retention, and better image resolution, that every movement of television , including the LCD screen.

Of course, such as LCDs continue to expand the dynamic range and the quality of the grayscale image to 120Hz sets W / LED (backlight very accurate), they have neglected the plasma screens, in my opinion.

However, the main problem remains the response time of pixels - which clearly even fast-moving, blur. A new method for measuring the resolution have been developed. Sure, the resolution of an image on the screen is still there. Now we have the motion of the image resolution by a test pattern that the films on the screen at a certain speed, while still a test chamber at the same speed and image quality measures. The new resolution plasma moving image is about 900 lines, while the LCD is expected to decline significantlylow.

Frankly, I prefer a Samsung or Sony 120Hz LCD TV - this is just my personal preference. But w / the above information and the latest PDP does not look quite so are eliminated early.

OLED mentioned. I have a demo and picture quality is ridiculous and is extremely low. However, the price is not possible for most today (10-inch screen is in the thousands $$$). I have also heard that they have problems with heat - or maybe even laser shows. I do not remember very well.
