A quick search on the Internet shows that "planting Homes still under construction! Probably they are copies or modern version of one are. Almost certainly, old plantation houses still stand, either in residence or the museum of any kind to be completed in a given area. If you are planning to move and try to buy one, I suggest you decide where to go and then contact agents in the region.
They do not believe they are cheap because they are old, ya?
